The subject gained popularity in a short span of time due to the concerted efforts in the area such as intellectual environment encompassing both teachers and students, reminiscent interaction between faculty and students and its scope and relevance.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The department offers a wide spectrum of courses spread over three years\/ six semesters (2013-20) in order to equip the students with skills and sociological knowledge. The course curriculum has both academic and societal relevance incorporating contemporary issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The faculty of the department has strong work ethics and is regularly engaged in student centric programs\/activities which are executed through subject society. Due to the high demand of the subject teachers are giving their services to other institutions of learning like Law colleges of Himachal Pradesh and other universities and Boards.
