Dear Students,
I feel immense pleasure while presenting this “Prospectus – cum – Handbook of information” of Govt. Arya Degree College, Nurpur for the session 2026-2027. I also wish to extend a warm welcome to all the new as well as the old students of this seat of knowledge named in the sacred memory of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, whose name stands among the greatest social and religious reformers of modern India. This college was established as Arya college for girls in June, 1978 with a meagre strength of only 20 girls and was then taken over by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh on 25th June, 2002 as a co-educational

Govt Arya Degree College Nurpur
The Arya Degree College was taken over by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh on 25th June, 2002 as a co-educational institution and named as Govt. Arya Degree College, Nurpur with only Arts stream. But from the academic session 2009-10. this institution also started Science (Medical 8 Non-Medical) and Commerce classes thereby fulfilling the long standing demand and aspirations of the people of this area. From June 2017, college started Bachelor of Vocation Degree (B. Voc.) Programme with two courses having 40 seats each, one in Retail Management and other in Hospitality 8 Tourism, under the scheme launched by the University Grants Commission on skill development as a part of College/University education.

Health care facilities for students and staff are felt to be the basic need.We provides medicare for all our students and staff.
SCIENCE LABS
It is a facility that provides controlled conditions in which scientific research and experiments may be performed.
SPORTS
In additional to teaching physical education as a subject, the college provides optimum facilities for various games.
COMPUTER LAB
The computer lab serves as the center for teaching computer use to whole classes, usually by a specialist computer teacher.
