“To empower students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them, as lifelong learners to participate in and contribute to the global world and practice the core values of the college i.e. respect, tolerance, inclusion & excellence”. 

MISSION

• To provide a learning atmosphere in which faculty and students can discover, examine critically, preserve and transmit the knowledge, wisdom and values that will ensure the survival of this and future generations. 
• To generate new knowledge through broad array of scholarly, research and creative endeavours which provide a foundation for dealing with immediate and long term needs of society.
• We strive to achieve leadership in each discipline, strengthen inter-disciplinary studies and pioneer new fields of learning.
• To make the college campus clean and green.

VISION FOR FUTURE

I. ACADEMICS

Govt.  Arya Degree College Nurpur makes students not only to get educated but also get empowered. That’s why we are trying to make them employable and be a good citizen contributing towards development of nation.

A. Short Term Targets

• To motivate students for their participation in their subject seminars organized in college with presentation on a topic using ICT facility.
• To conduct remedial classes for the slow learners.
• To develop language and communication skills among students.
• Alumnae and community participation in college activities.
• To sign more MOUs and work for the betterment of institution. 

B. Long Term Targets

• To start new courses after approval from the higher authority.
• To start regular coaching classes for the students to prepare them for the competitive examinations in collaboration with cluster colleges.
• To work for NAAC accreditation of the college.
• To digitalize the college library.

II. HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS

A. Short Term Targets

• To organize workshops/seminars/conferences/training programmes/ excursion visits for the students and faculty members.
• To celebrate/observe different days and carry out cultural & academic activities with active participation of students & community.
• To motivate students for inculcation of moral values, adopt a school/village for upliftment.
• Make the campus clean and green.
• Proper feedback system from the alumni, parents, teachers and students for the betterment of institution.
• Work for the proper physical and mental health development of students by providing sports & academic facilities and carrying out tutorial or counselling sessions. 
• To make the students aware about the cyber crime, road safety, disaster management, drug/substance abuse and e-addiction.

B. Long Term Targets

• To provide proper infrastructure facilities, establish botanical garden, vermi- composting unit, waste disposal units, museum etc. after shifting in new college campus.
• To carryout plantation drive in new campus and work together for making campus clean and green.
• To get financial support from higher authority/Govt./NAAC to fulfil the requirements/needs in new campus.
• To maintain cordial relations with Community, College PTA, Alumni association, local administration for the upliftment of the college.

III. PHYSICAL INFRASTURUCTURE

It will be of prime requirement whenever college will shift to its new campus. Following infrastructure proposed to be added in future:

A. Short Term Targets

• Procurement of new instruments for the laboratories as per new syllabus for the welfare of students.
• Setting up of Gym for physical fitness of students.

B. Long Term Targets

• Purchase of new books for the library as per revised syllabus (after implementation of NEP).
• In enhance the seating capacity in the library, purchase of more tables and chairs, computers.
• To make each student and non-teaching staff member computer literate.
• To use clean and green energy (Installation of solar panels) on the college building.
• To provide facility for rainwater harvesting and proper utilization of water.
• To provide ramps facilities for the PWDs.

IV. COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Govt. Arya Degree College Nurpur will work for the community needs and concerns and for this will take the following measures:

• The college teaching faculty members will visit nearby Senior Secondary Schools and motivate the students regarding the opportunities they will get after getting admitted in different courses run by the college in its campus.
• The college will organize joint activities with active participation of students and staff of nearby schools, NGOs and nearby village personals like workshops, exhibitions/training programmes or awareness programmes, plantation drives, etc. 
• Cadets of NCC, Volunteers of NSS, Rovers and Rangers etc. will make the local people aware about the different welfare schemes run by the government.
• NCC cadets are also deployed to maintain discipline in different college events during different activities as per directions.
• College Electoral literacy club makes the students and local inhabitants aware about their rights and importance of casting votes.
• College Red Ribbon Club, Road Safety Club, Rovers and Rangers, NSS and NCC also spread awareness among local community on various issues through rallies, conducting surveys, nukkad-natak, posters, slogans, organizing health awareness camps, blood donation camps etc.
