Department of Physics, established in 2009, stands as a prominent Department of Govt. Arya Degree College, Nurpur. It offers a welcoming and collaborative environment for undergraduate science scholars to expand their knowledge and academic pursuits. The department boasts a committed faculty and support staff. The erudite faculty members are not only highly qualified but also deeply passionate about their respective fields, employing innovative teaching methodologies enhanced by cutting-edge technology. Rigorous academic standards are upheld through regular assessments, interactive sessions, seminars, and hands-on laboratory projects. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments such as spectrometer, polarimeter,Newton ring apparatus,digital electronic balances,electronic apparatus, different pendulums, computers, and an array of other essential tools. The pedagogical approach emphasizes the cultivation of scientific acumen and analytical problem-solving skills among the student body. Leveraging audio-visual aids, the department ensures an engaging and enriching academic experience for all learners. Presently, the department has two  Assistant Professors,   a vacant position awaiting appointment, and supported by one dedicated Laboratory Staff members.
